Harrow Hill, 408 feet high, is located some half a mile south of the modern town of Harrow. The village dates back to early medieval times and is built around the 11th-century St Mary’s Church. It is also the location of Harrow School, founded in 1572 by John Lyon, a local landowner and farmer.
